When my wife and I started the ejje Publishing Group we really had no idea where it would lead. She believed in my desire that significant history of the automotive and racing world needed to be preserved. We both realized that these stories had to be preserved while the primary people that lived it are still around to tell them.
Our first book, THE CHRISMAN LEGACY / ALWAYS FASTER is a compelling story about the Chrisman family and their place in the world of racing. Their record setting and innovation in early dry lakes racing and drag racing are well known to those who were around, but again needed to be saved for future generations. One of the greatest compliments we receive is when a customer let’s us know that they learned things about the subject they did not know.
Our newest book is FOLLMER / AMERICAN WHEEL MAN. Finally the story of one of America’s most versatile racing drivers will be told. Numerous interviews with people who were key players during and in George’s life are part of this story. Also a significant amount of photographs that captured history as it happened are included.
For those of you who know my history in the world of photography, realize that photography is a big part of our books. The top photographers in the automotive world are included in these stories. Many who are my personal friends and who we are all indebted to.
The underlying foundation of our books is a well-written and told story. We are very fortunate to have Tom Madigan as the author of both THE CHRISMAN STORY and FOLLMER. Tom is a Dean Batchelor award winner and one of the top automotive authors in the business. His passion to preserve history is no different than ours. It is a perfect marriage.
We do have other books in the works, but it is too early to announce those. Each of our books is published in very limited numbers and meant to be a treasured possession for those who own them.
